O.N.E. Hangover Elixir (Electrolytes Caffeine Antioxidants)
Ingredients
- One 11-oz container of O.N.E. Coconut Water
- 1 Tbsp of guaraná* powder
- Handful of fruits that are high in antioxidants such as blueberries or pomegranates
Instructions
Mix in blender; serve chilled.
*Guarana powder comes from grinding the guarana seed, a berry of the Amazon rainforest that provides natural stimulation from a high content of caffeine. You can find guarana powder at Whole Foods Markets.
Coconut Water in the Kitchen
Cooking with coconut water is a great way to add nutrients without adding a lot of calories. Try using pure coconut water:
- To deglaze a pan when you don’t want to use alcohol.
- Use instead of water when cooking rice or other grains.
- Make geletin deserts with coconut water.
- Try as a braising liquid for pork or beef.
- Mixed with cornstarch to thicken Asian stir-fry dishes
- Freeze it in ice pop molds for kids
- Add to some soups and sauces
- Mix with powdered sugar to make a sweet glaze for baked goods
